Some rugs indicate they should be "Dry Clean Only". The label on the rug below calls for dry cleaning.
Interesting thing is not all rugs need to be "dry clean only" even if this is the recommendation. Most soils are water soluble. To really clean a rug, you need to get it wet. If the dye test results indicate the rug can be wet cleaned, then by all means get it wet!. The wool rug below was very dirty and had lots of doggy odor.
